Angels Caring for Animals, Inc. was founded in 2008 by Animal Control Officer Lori Rivard with a clear mission: to support the animals of the West Warwick Animal Shelter by helping cover medical expenses beyond routine spay and neuter services. From the beginning, Angels’ primary focus has been fundraising to ensure shelter animals receive the medical care they need.

Over the years, Angels Caring for Animals has hosted numerous successful fundraisers, allowing us to pay critical veterinary bills and improve the quality of life for countless shelter animals.

Today, Angels Caring for Animals, Inc. has grown by leaps and bounds. We now operate out of our own office at 112 Harding Street in West Warwick, and we have proudly obtained our rescue license. This allows us to take in surrendered animals and place them into loving adoptive homes.

Our mission has also expanded beyond West Warwick. Angels now provides financial assistance to individuals throughout Rhode Island who receive government assistance and whose pets are in need of urgent medical care.

For the past 16 years, we have remained committed to knowledgeable and compassionate service. Our board has consistently included a licensed veterinary technician who helps address day-to-day medical questions and provides guidance to pet owners seeking help.

Through dedication, growth, and community support, Angels Caring for Animals continues to be a voice and a lifeline for animals in need across Rhode Island.
