Caring for animals
since 2008.
Angels Caring for Animals began in West Warwick with one goal: help shelter animals receive medical care beyond routine services.
It started with the animals
at our local shelter.
In 2008, Animal Control Officer Lori Rivard founded Angels to raise money for animals at the West Warwick Animal Shelter whose medical needs went beyond routine care.
Community support helped pay critical veterinary bills. Over time, that work grew into a licensed rescue organization based at 112 Harding Street in West Warwick.
Today, we take in surrendered animals, help cats and kittens find adoptive homes, support fosters, and assist eligible Rhode Island pet owners facing urgent veterinary costs.
Fosters, volunteers, donors, adopters, local partners, and community members make this work possible.
Our legal name is West Warwick Angels Caring for Animals Inc. Our EIN is 77-0688257.
